About This Event
Suminagashi is a 900-year-old Japanese marbling art. Touch ink to still water, watch it drift into rings and ripples, then lift the pattern onto paper. No two prints are ever the same. This workshop is an invitation to slow down and practice mindfulness. You can’t force the ink, so you learn to breathe, observe, and let things unfold. There’s no right way to do it and no experience needed, which makes it a gentle break from screens, busy thoughts, and perfectionism. Many people find the process calming, and making something with your hands is a simple way to care for your mind. You’ll begin with a short introduction and a guided breathing warm-up, then create several prints to take home. All materials provided. Open to all levels.

About Los Gatos Library
The "new" Los Gatos Library opened right after we moved here, but now that's quite awhile ago. Parking is easy and there is a bright kids' area set up for little ones to read and play, and private rooms you can reserve ahead if you need a quiet spot to work.
